AB 2257 gives county supervisors a new tool to improve jail outcomes, protect public safety, and safeguard taxpayer dollars.

SACRAMENTO, CA – Governor Gavin Newsom has signed AB 1448 (Hart) into law. This bill prohibits the use of existing oil infrastructure in state waters to support new offshore oil drilling in federal waters.

Today, Assemblymember Gregg Hart introduced AB 2257 to strengthen accountability and restore checks and balances in the governance of California's county jails.
